This is a prototype design project to convert an old duplex property into a high performing Net Zero Energy Duplex. The idea is to create a building that produces more energy than it uses annually thru the use active solar panels and a highly efficient building skin and other systems. Each unit has a private garage & driveway as well as a front landscape and backyard patio as it uses the small footprint lot (4,125 sf) to it’s maximum potential. The plan is organized with Kitchen / Dining / & Living on the primary level (along with a small powder bath) and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper level. Parking and basement tuck in below the living units.
