ABOUT STUDIO CURRENT

Studio Current is an Urban Design & Architecture firm located in downtown San Jose. Our focus is creative infill projects that include multi-family residential + mixed-use, commercial & retail buildings, tenant improvements, and work with several non-profits (ie. Boy Scouts Camp Hi-Sierra + Cristo Rey SJ Jesuit High School + Roberto Cruz Leadership Academy).

We are currently working on a 105 Unit Mixed Use Infill project with 12,000sf of Commercial + Retail space in the West San Carlos Urban Village in San Jose, a 6-story Office + Retail Building in the downtown SJ core, Student Housing complex for approx. 200 beds across the street from San Jose State University, along with several tenant improvements and an industrial park + retail infill project near downtown SJ.

Architect / Project Manager

Studio Current is looking for a talented, motivated, creative and collaborative teammate to design and lead the project team for projects of various sizes from conceptual stage through completion. A passion for architecture & urban planning and commitment to high quality design, code compliance and detailing is necessary.

Minimum job requirements include:
• Architectural degree from accredited school
• California Architects License
• LEED Accreditation
• 7 years or more experience working in Architecture offices in California
• Excellent knowledge of all phases of architecture design & documentation
• Experienced use of Revit & AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite software
• Hands on ability to work on projects (design / drafting / codes / consultants)
• Strong communication, organization & leadership skills
• Examples of 3 or 4 projects that you have played a lead role in executing

Junior Designer

Studio Current is looking for a talented, motivated, creative and collaborative team member to design and implement projects of varying sizes from conceptual stage through completion.  A passion for architecture & urban planning and commitment to high quality design and detailing is necessary.

Minimum job requirements include:
• Architectural degree from an accredited university in USA
• 3 years or more experience working in Architecture offices in California
• Well rounded exposure to all phases of architecture design & construction documentation work
• Skilled at Revit is a must, in sketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite software is preferred
• Hands on ability to work on projects (design / drafting / graphics)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Examples of 2 or 3 projects of your work
